When an employee leaves with a key
There's no record of how many copies exist. Rekey the affected cylinders, from $19.00 per lock in labor, and that key stops working. Then keep a short list of who holds what.
Exit doors and life-safety hardware
Panic bars and exit devices have to stay code-compliant. The locksmith will tell you what can be serviced on site and leave exits working as required.
Keeping work on schedule
Ask for a slot before opening or after closing for rekeys and lock changes. A door that won't lock at the end of the day gets treated as urgent.
